Law 18-07 on the protection of personal data:
What is this ?

This Law, as indicated in article 1, aims to establish the rules for the protection of personal data which result in the anchoring of new principles, the consecration of new rights and the establishment of numerous obligations. In this dynamic, the year 2020 was the year of constitutionalization of the principle of protection of personal data through the new provision introduced by the Algerian constitution. Which constitutes a strong act in order to support the approach put in place in relation to the protection of personal data. To this end, this modest contribution tends to clarify and provide certain clarifications on the contours of the Algerian law relating to the protection of personal data, while pointing out the pointillism and the technicality of the provisions introduced which require a minimum of technical knowledge to be able to understand the contours of this law.
